Job Title: Senior Claim Supervisor, Auto

At Vermont Mutual, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Claim Supervisor to lead our Auto Claims team. As a key member of our claims organization, you will be responsible for supervising a team of claim examiners and representatives, ensuring that all claims are handled in a timely, accurate, and fair manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a team of claim examiners and representatives to ensure that all claims are handled in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve claim handling efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and analyze claim data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in claims handling.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in claims handling, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Expert knowledge of property and casualty insurance claims handling.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
