Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Building Compliance and Energy Rater Consultant to join our team at Burgess Construction Consultants, Inc. in Charlotte, NC.

This is a full-time, salaried position with a standard 5-day work week and offers a competitive salary of $75,000 - $95,000 per year, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in residential construction, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct building inspections and energy testing to ensure compliance with local, state, and national code requirements.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Collaborate with homebuilders to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports for each project.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in residential construction.
  • RFI Certification (Required).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
