Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Accountant (Level 1) with at least 2 years of relevant experience to become a part of our dynamic team.

In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and supporting the overall financial functions of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of customer statements and invoicing.
  • Payment Monitoring: Track and manage payments, follow up on overdue invoices, and address billing discrepancies.
  • Exhibit exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Process daily service calls and project invoicing to guarantee precise costing, appropriate markups, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Create essential support documentation, including schedules of values and AIA Forms.
  • Ensure timely requests for lien releases and attach them to invoices before submission.
  • Request lien releases from vendors, subcontractors, and equipment rentals.
  • Evaluate billing documents and data for accuracy, resolving any discrepancies as needed.
  • Prepare monthly receivables statements.
  • Compile, organize, and prepare invoices, credit, and debit memos.
  • Review receivables paperwork for accuracy.
  • Scan documents for digital storage.
  • Provide support to the Accounting Department.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Handle mail, email, and online billing invoices efficiently.


Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction billing sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AIA Billing Forms is essential.
  • At least 3 years of overall construction administration experience is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel is a must.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain organization, and exhibit strong communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
  • Capability to manage various projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with lien releases and preliminary notices is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated efficiency in time management.

This is a full-time position in an office environment, with standard 8-hour workdays from Monday to Friday. While performing job duties, employees may be required to sit, talk, hear, use hands for various tasks, and occasionally lift or move objects up to 20 pounds. Proficiency in hand-eye coordination is necessary for operating computers and office equipment.
