Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Financial Auditor to enhance our dynamic finance team. This role is perfect for individuals with a robust background in public accounting and internal auditing, particularly those with experience in the manufacturing or retail sectors. As a Senior Financial Auditor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring the integrity of financial records, and providing strategic insights to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and manage financial and operational audits in alignment with the annual audit strategy.
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and propose enhancements.
  • Prepare and deliver audit reports to senior management, identifying risks and recommending actionable solutions.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Serve as a primary contact for external auditors, supplying necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.
  • Stay informed on updates in financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Engage in special projects, including due diligence, fraud investigations, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide junior audit team members.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or internal auditing.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or retail industry is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with non-profit accounting principles is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with all management levels.
  • High integrity and professionalism, committed to ethical practices.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel as required for audit assignments.
