Key Responsibilities:

The Director will report directly to the Department Chair and Associate Dean of Administration and Operations, overseeing various administrative functions within the department. Responsibilities include:

  1. Human Resource Management: Oversee HR activities, manage faculty affairs, and ensure compliance with university policies.
  2. Financial Management: Direct financial resources, develop budgets, and ensure ethical practices in financial transactions.
  3. Operations Management: Ensure efficient day-to-day operations and manage programmatic activities.
  4. Information Management: Oversee the department's information needs and manage the website and communication materials.
  5. Research Management: Administer grant and contract processes, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  6. Compliance and Risk Management: Promote adherence to policies and manage risks associated with departmental operations.

Qualifications:

A Master’s degree in Health Care Administration, Business, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Equivalent experience may substitute for degree requirements. Desired qualifications include proven leadership skills, experience in financial analysis, and a background in academic medical center operations.
