The Youth Education Events Coordinator will work closely with the Girl Scouts of Orange County (GSOC) Girl Experience staff to develop and implement educational programs and events that promote STEM education and career development for students. This role will involve reviewing and developing program materials, supporting event planning and execution, and providing administrative support to ensure the success of these initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs and events that align with GSOC's mission and objectives
  • Support the planning and execution of events, including "Maker Nights" and the First Lego League Robotics Teams
  • Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of these initiatives
  • Collaborate with volunteers and staff to develop new STEM programming and events
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as data entry and record-keeping
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Education, Child Development, or a STEM field
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills
  • Ability to pass background screening, including fingerprinting
