Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team at Concordia University Irvine. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a strategic plan for events and visits, in consultation with the Director of Undergraduate Admissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive event strategy to attract prospective students to visit Concordia University Irvine.
  • Visit Experience Management: Collaborate with the Director of Undergraduate Admissions to create a customized visit experience for prospective students.
  • Event Execution: Manage all aspects of event execution, including logistics, vendor management, and event promotion.
  • Student Staff Management: Train, manage, and maintain a successful student staff of 10-15 student workers to assist in the execution of each event.
  • Communication: Serve as liaison between the Admissions, deans, departmental faculty, and staff responsible for the implementation of successful recruitment events.
  • Technology Management: Manage and implement the Admissions Event Management CRM (Salesforce) while working in conjunction with the Associate Director of Operations for all related issues.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: At least 1-3 years of experience or knowledge in the field of event planning, public relations, marketing, and admissions is highly recommended.
  • Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Software Proficiency: Competent with Banner, TargetX, 25Live, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
