Position Overview
We are actively seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to spearhead our entry into the Allied Healthcare Errors & Omissions Market. This role is pivotal in developing a robust strategy, crafting a compelling product offering, and executing a go-to-market plan aimed at driving growth while establishing a strong wholesale distribution network.
Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Underwriting Executive for Allied Healthcare, you will:
- Collaborate with leadership to establish a comprehensive underwriting methodology for the Allied Healthcare sector.
- Implement strategic underwriting initiatives focusing on price adequacy, coverage, and portfolio class elements.
- Align profitability and growth objectives with the organization’s overall goals and distribution strategies.
- Lead and mentor the underwriting team, providing guidance and support to ensure the achievement of individual and team objectives.
- Define strategic initiatives for Allied Healthcare solutions, including the identification of new coverages and product development.
- Enhance brand visibility by offering thought leadership on emerging risks and trends to the marketplace and brokers.
- Conduct market research to develop and maintain effective risk selection criteria and underwriting practices.
- Build and nurture relationships with key partners, including brokers, agents, and reinsurers.
- Oversee the formulation and implementation of underwriting policies and procedures, ensuring they remain current and effective.
- Monitor underwriting performance, providing insights and reports to senior management while identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to underwriting.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Direct technical underwriting experience in the Allied Healthcare sector.
- Proven leadership experience in national or regional roles.
- A successful track record in developing and expanding a national portfolio of Professional Liability.
- Experience in establishing and nurturing wholesale distribution relationships.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, capable of motivating and developing a team.
- Excellent communication skills, fostering relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
