POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Global Edge Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Project Construction Supervisor to lead our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all facets of construction activities as the primary on-site representative for a significant renovation initiative.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Project Construction Supervisor must possess a comprehensive understanding of federal and local regulations pertaining to construction in New York.
Prior experience in construction management, particularly with complex renovation projects, is essential.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC commissioning and testing services is required.
The Supervisor will oversee management, quality assurance, and administrative functions necessary for efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
Additionally, you will assist governmental entities in achieving project objectives related to schedule, budget, scope, and quality, ensuring compliance with all environmental standards.
Coordinate and align administrative and management reporting with program-level requirements.Monitor the interface between on-site operations and construction activities, being readily available to address any issues that arise.
This includes facilitating coordination and communication among all stakeholders involved.CHANGE ORDER MANAGEMENT:
The Supervisor will play a key role in the administration and processing of changes to construction contracts.
Daily progress reports will be generated to summarize weekly activities, highlighting concerns and suggesting corrective measures.
Lead weekly project status meetings and maintain precise meeting documentation.Coordinate the Request for Information (RFI) process.
Establish procedures with the construction contractor for the development and upkeep of necessary As-Built Documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in field construction is required.
A Bachelor's degree in a construction-related discipline from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
Completion of OSHA 10 Hr Training is necessary.
Experience in large commercial or office space renovations is advantageous.
Extensive knowledge of construction processes and industry practices is required.
Ability to obtain HSPD-12 government security clearance is essential.
Demonstrated managerial skills along with strong written and verbal communication abilities are crucial.
Certification as a Construction Manager through the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) is preferred.
