Compensation and Benefits:
  • Up to $20,000 Sign-on Bonus
  • $3,000 Relocation Assistance for eligible candidates
  • Comprehensive benefits including health insurance, dental coverage, and flexible spending accounts

Work Schedule:
  • Full-time, Three-hour shifts
  • Night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am

Unit Overview:
  • The Neurosurgical Progressive Care Unit (NSU) is a 40-bed facility that specializes in complex neuro cases, including surgical drains, incisions, and spinal surgeries.
  • This unit offers an excellent opportunity to enhance neuro skills and advance towards the Neuro ICU.
  • Our unit collaborates closely with the AdventHealth Neuroscience Institute, ensuring seamless care from preoperative to postoperative stages.

Patient Care Model:
  • Our team consists of Registered Nurses and Patient Care Technicians who work collaboratively with Neurosurgeons and various therapy specialists.

Patient Population:
  • We are committed to addressing community health needs, particularly in managing back pain to improve quality of life.
  • Our flagship hospital is a major tertiary facility, serving a diverse patient population and providing exceptional care to thousands of inpatients and outpatients annually.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide and oversee comprehensive nursing care for designated age-specific groups.
  • Utilize the nursing process effectively to achieve departmental goals.
  • Ensure adherence to all compliance plans and regulatory standards.

Nursing Expertise:
  • Assess and interpret diagnostic data relevant to patient conditions, including lab results and monitoring data.

Patient Safety Commitment:
  • Uphold stringent infection prevention protocols and medication safety practices.
  • Engage in patient education and ensure understanding of care plans.

Communication Skills:
  • Foster positive nurse-patient relationships through effective communication and compassionate care.

Documentation Standards:
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • EKG competency testing required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
