The Nemours Center for Healthcare Delivery Science (CHDS) is in search of a Clinical Research Specialist (Open Rank) based in Florida.
Healthcare delivery science encompasses the utilization of scientific methodologies and principles to evaluate the variables and processes influencing the delivery, safety, outcomes, cost, quality, and value of pediatric healthcare.
We are looking for a clinical research expert who can enhance our center by either contributing an existing research program or initiating a new program in Child Clinical Psychology (e.g., depression, anxiety) and/or integrated primary care.

Key Responsibilities:
Establish a productive research program; secure and sustain federal or national foundation funding for the candidate's research initiatives; foster cross-campus research partnerships that leverage Nemours' technological infrastructure, collaborative research opportunities, electronic medical records, data warehouses, extensive clinical populations, and a growing professional staff of over 700 healthcare providers; mentor junior researchers to develop competitive grant proposals; collaborate effectively with colleagues in the Nemours research community, clinical services, and administration; advocate for the application of research findings into practice throughout Nemours; contribute to Nemours' educational mission by presenting at conferences and continuing medical education courses. While CHDS-FL would be the primary faculty appointment for the research specialist, they may pursue a faculty appointment with a local medical college.
Nemours Children's Health operates independent children's hospitals and pediatric clinics across various locations, as well as pediatric primary care clinic networks.
Additionally, to connect all Nemours entities, we operate a Local Area Network with video-conferencing capabilities, and we share research administration, accounting, and regulatory functions.
Nemours Children's Health is part of PedsNet, a Clinical Data Research Network funded by a prominent research institute (see ).
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an MD, MD/PhD, PhD, or other doctoral degree in a health-related field and demonstrate a record of collaborative academic productivity and either success in securing research funding or a strong potential to obtain funding for research.
