RAYUS Radiology, previously known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to enhance our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care (85%):
    Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting, including:
    • Communicating procedures and treatments to patients to foster understanding and alleviate anxiety.
    • Conducting pre-procedure screenings to identify any necessary precautions.
    • Educating patients and their families on care before, during, and after procedures.
    • Administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established standards.
    • Preparing equipment and assisting physicians during patient examinations.
    • Monitoring patient comfort and safety throughout their care.
    • Documenting significant patient conditions and reactions, and alerting supervisors or physicians as necessary.
    • Observing vital signs and other indicators to assess patient conditions.
    • Responding to emergencies based on nursing protocols.
    • Maintaining accurate patient history and physical assessments.
    • Creating individualized patient education plans as directed by physicians.
  • Department Support (10%):
    Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives, including:
    • Participating in the evaluation and updating of patient care standards.
    • Maintaining nursing and patient monitoring equipment.
  • Additional Duties (5%):
    Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the appropriate state.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in outpatient radiology is a plus.
