Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care (85%):
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting, including:- Communicating procedures and treatments to patients to foster understanding and alleviate anxiety.
- Conducting pre-procedure screenings to identify any necessary precautions.
- Educating patients and their families on care before, during, and after procedures.
- Administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established standards.
- Preparing equipment and assisting physicians during patient examinations.
- Monitoring patient comfort and safety throughout their care.
- Documenting significant patient conditions and reactions, and alerting supervisors or physicians as necessary.
- Observing vital signs and other indicators to assess patient conditions.
- Responding to emergencies based on nursing protocols.
- Maintaining accurate patient history and physical assessments.
- Creating individualized patient education plans as directed by physicians.
- Department Support (10%):
Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives, including:- Participating in the evaluation and updating of patient care standards.
- Maintaining nursing and patient monitoring equipment.
- Additional Duties (5%):
Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse license in the appropriate state.
- Current CPR certification.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in outpatient radiology is a plus.
