About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Forklift Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing lift trucks, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair faulty equipment, applying knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively, adhering to company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of service work and repairs, ensuring timely submission of paperwork.
  • Collaborate with the service dispatcher and manager to maximize labor revenue and efficiency within the work schedule.
  • Be flexible with your work schedule to accommodate customer needs and receive ongoing training and coaching.
  • Maintain a clean and organized service van and uniforms, as well as an accurate inventory of tools and parts.
  • Operate a lift truck for testing and demonstrations, adhering to correct operation instructions.
  • Communicate effectively with the Parts and Sales departments to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times, demonstrating good judgment and personal attitude.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one to three years' relevant experience and/or training preferred.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic and hydraulic diagrams and schematics.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a clean driving record.
