Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair faulty equipment, applying knowledge of functional operation and systems to identify the extent and cause of malfunction.
- Perform scheduled maintenance efficiently and effectively, adhering to company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all service work and repairs performed, ensuring timely submission of paperwork.
- Collaborate with the service dispatcher and manager to maximize labor revenue and efficiency within the work schedule.
- Be flexible with your work schedule to accommodate customer needs and receive ongoing on-the-job training and coaching.
- Maintain company-supplied service vans and uniforms in a clean and organized fashion, as well as an accurate inventory of tools and parts.
- Operate a lift truck for testing and demonstrations, adhering to correct operation instructions.
- Communicate and work with the Parts and Sales departments to ensure customer needs are met, and immediately report any potential customer issues.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times, communicating in a professional manner while showing respect to customers and other company personnel.
- Demonstrate good judgment and personal attitude, essential to maintaining our company's reputation for results-oriented service, goodwill, and professionalism.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one to three years' relevant experience and/or training preferred.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and general equipment operation theory.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic and hydraulic diagrams and schematics.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
