Job Summary

Mazak is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing and repairing machines and accessories at customer sites, providing technical information on operation or repair of machines and accessories, and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install machines and accessories at customer sites, including assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating, and wiring.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software problems on machines and accessories at customer sites.
  • Test operation of machines and accessories after completing installation or repair.
  • Train customers on functions of the machines.
  • Learn new machines features and accessories as they become available.
  • Complete reports documenting installation, assessment of reported problem, repairs completed, and parts installed.
  • Travel is required, with assignments potentially requiring overnight or multiple night stays.
Requirements
  • 2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical, or machine tool assembly.
  • 3-7 years of experience in Field Service.
  • High School Diploma.
Preferred Skills
  • Read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Ability to work on own or in group while completing necessary tasks.
  • Ability to understand PLC, HYD/Pneumatic circuits, and general computer skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive daily basis, with heavier lifting in excess of 50lbs on periodic basis.
  • Ability to problem solve depending on situation.
  • Sound writing and reporting skills.
  • Strong people skills.
