Santa Clara University is seeking a dynamic and experienced Quarterly Lecturer to teach graduate-level Applied Mathematics courses. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a dedication to the well-being and advancement of students, colleagues, and the School.
Key Responsibilities- Teach one or more graduate Applied Mathematics classes and participate in all related activities, including:
- Preparing and conducting all assigned class meetings
- Assigning and evaluating/grading student work appropriately
- Being available to students for consultation outside of class
- Assigning student grades appropriately and submitting them on time to the Office of Student Records
- Conducting course assessments as required by the department
- Completing and submitting time cards every two weeks
- Complying with university and school policies, including those delineated in the School of Engineering Term Faculty Handbook
- Participating in the development and implementation of curriculum and instructional materials
- Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning
- Earned Ph.D. Degree in mathematics or a closely related field
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching, specifically in Statistics
The Quarterly Lecturer will work in a dynamic and fast-paced academic environment, with a focus on teaching and student success. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-based setting.
