Sterile Processing Technician II

This role performs a wide range of tasks related to inventory management, decontamination, inspection, maintenance, and assembly of surgical devices, reusable instrumentation, and equipment. The successful candidate will work under general supervision to ensure the efficient and safe processing of medical instruments and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the maintenance and organization of inventory, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available and easily accessible.
- Perform decontamination, inspection, and maintenance tasks on reusable instruments and equipment to ensure they are safe for use.
- Assemble, package, and process medical supplies, instruments, and equipment according to established procedures.
- Operate department equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring that all necessary checks and maintenance are performed regularly.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of tasks.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one year of experience in central service or operating room instrumentation reprocessing.
- Registered Central Service Technician Certificate within 12 months of hire.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
