Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Petroleum Inspector to join our team at AmSpec Group. As a key member of our inspection team, you will be responsible for conducting quantity determination inspections of shore tanks, railcars, and tank trucks for a variety of commodities, including petroleum and petrochemicals.
Responsibilities
Conduct physical inspections of shore tanks, railcars, and tank trucks to determine quantities of commodities.
Collect samples for laboratory analysis and accurately complete all required reports and forms.
Work collaboratively with clients, U.S. Customs, vessel personnel, government agents, and shore facility personnel to ensure accurate results.
Maintain regular communication with office staff regarding job status, problems, and concerns.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry and client procedures and standards.
Requirements
2 years of experience in petroleum inspection in the oil, gas, and chemical industry.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present information effectively.
Basic math comprehension with an aptitude for fractions.
Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and in confined spaces.
Must be able to climb storage tank ladders and stairs, typically 25 to 65 feet in height.
Must be able to carry up to 75 pounds of samples, gear, or equipment.
Must be able to differentiate between colors accurately by sight.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on customer need.
