Overview:

The role of a Server involves providing exceptional service to guests by assisting them with their food and beverage choices, processing orders, and ensuring a pleasant dining atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the entire food and drink menu.
  • Effectively communicate menu items and specials to guests.
  • Utilize established service standards to enhance guest experiences.
  • Regularly check in with guests to ensure their satisfaction throughout their meal.
  • Promptly provide guest checks and process payments efficiently.
  • Keep service areas and tables clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Assist fellow staff in clearing tables and preparing for new guests.
  • Deliver friendly, attentive service, ensuring eye contact and respectful conversation.
  • Support kitchen staff with plating and serving as necessary.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and health regulations.
  • Stay informed about state and federal regulations regarding alcohol service.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Provide timely and courteous service in line with company policies.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
  • Basic math skills are essential.
  • Maintain a positive and helpful demeanor at all times.
  • Strong background in customer service.
  • Outgoing personality conducive to guest relations.
  • Familiarity with the complete food and drink offerings.
  • Compliance with sanitation standards set by the company and local regulations.
  • Punctuality and adherence to scheduled shifts are required.
  • Participation in company meetings and training sessions is expected.
  • Assist in training new employees to meet service standards.
  • Follow uniform and grooming guidelines as outlined by the company.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to all HR policies and procedures.

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Server in a comparable establishment.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds regularly.
  • Capability to bend, stoop, stand, and walk extensively for 8-10 hours daily.
  • Mobility and dexterity suitable for the Server role.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to manage a high volume of business while maintaining composure.
  • Capability to perform essential job functions under pressure and stress.
