At Select Medical's Critical Illness Recovery Hospitals, you will be caring for some of the most vulnerable patients in your community. We specialize in the care of chronically and critically ill or post-ICU patients who require extended hospital treatment. Our organization employs over 50,000 individuals nationwide and provides quality care to approximately 70,000 patients daily across our four divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing patient services including bathing with basin-less products, oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care.
  • Responding to patient calls and delivering services promptly to enhance patient well-being.
  • Participating in hourly patient rounds.
  • Transporting patients to various treatment areas as needed; assisting with patient mobility in stretchers and wheelchairs.
  • Ensuring cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
  • Maintaining patient rooms in a clean and organized manner, including bed-making.
  • Managing unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.

Qualifications:

You will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of patient needs, ensuring that each individual feels informed, understood, and valued. You are committed to providing high-quality care and possess problem-solving skills that thrive in a dynamic setting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
  • BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Prior hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant, or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.

Nursing students may be considered as nurse assistants if approved by the State Practice Act.
