KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF A MEDICAL ASSISTANT

  • Assist with on-site admissions, immunizations, drug screenings, and other scheduled assessments.
  • Deliver direct patient care, such as monitoring vital signs and facilitating patient transport, in accordance with established protocols under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in vital sign measurement and Narcan administration.
  • Engage in consultations with healthcare professionals regarding patient care decisions.
  • Perform clerical tasks, including phone management and order entry, as required.
  • Effectively prioritize and execute tasks for assigned patients, ensuring timely and efficient care delivery.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, staff, healthcare providers, and visitors.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program and/or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Proficiency in computer applications is essential.
