Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accounting Leadership Director is responsible for guiding the development and execution of an organization's financial policies and procedures. This role encompasses comprehensive oversight of accounting functions and systems, along with the preparation of detailed analyses and reports.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for international operations.
  • Provide mentorship in GAAP for technical accounting and external financial reporting.
  • Oversee and enhance internal control measures.
  • Drive the standardization of processes throughout the global organization.
  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses.
  • Support the annual budgeting process.
  • Investigate accounting issues to ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Guarantee the implementation of appropriate cost accounting standards across the organization.
  • Serve as the primary finance representative for ERP implementation across the organization.
  • Lead the establishment of standardized master data across the organization.
  • Act as a liaison for external auditors.
  • Assist in mergers and acquisitions activities.
  • Engage in special projects, system enhancements, or ad-hoc analyses.
  • Propose process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and team productivity.
  • Provide support for the Controller as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional analytical, technological, communication, and organizational capabilities.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in accounting or finance, with public accounting experience being highly regarded.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Professional accreditation such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of system implementations and ERP design is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with cost accounting is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Pivot Tables and advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively.
  • Dedication to meeting business deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Capacity to anticipate and plan work effectively.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector is preferred.

Education and Training

A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required. Professional accreditation such as CPA or CMA is preferred. A strong understanding of system implementations and ERP design is also advantageous.
