Your role is crucial. Each position impacts our patients' experiences, and we seek a committed Radiologic Technologist to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

1. The technologist must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for patients across all age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

2. Must exhibit proficiency in general diagnostic radiography, digital equipment usage, PACS system knowledge, patient positioning, procedure preparation, and technical factors.

3. Responsible for the accurate use of RIS and Meditech systems for scheduling exams, tracking patients and images, completing exams, and capturing charges.

4. Must adhere to infection control protocols and universal precautions during all job functions.

5. Be prepared to accommodate urgent exam requests as needed.

6. Vigilant for image artifacts and maintain cleanliness of image detectors.

7. Ability to assess situations, evaluate alternatives, and select appropriate actions.

8. Gather patient history as necessary and assist radiologists during procedures to ensure patient comfort.

9. Report any equipment issues to the supervisor promptly.

10. Demonstrate capability to shut down radiologic equipment and reboot computers as required.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. May handle radiopharmaceuticals, contrast agents, and other non-controlled medications as appropriate for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

2. May be required to witness the disposal and inventory of controlled substances with another authorized individual.

3. Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment, including exam rooms and mobile equipment, and ensuring adequate linen supplies.

Qualifications Required:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
  • Relevant certification is required.
