Stability Direct is in search of a skilled Radiologic Technician to join our team.
Role ResponsibilitiesThe Radiologic Technician will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures under the guidance of certified radiologists. This role involves:
- Adhering to established protocols to ensure accurate imaging results.
- Assisting radiologists during procedures as necessary.
- Supervising and mentoring student Radiologic Technologists assigned to the department.
- Maintaining positive relationships with patients and staff.
Educational Background: A high school diploma or GED is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have graduated from an accredited Allied Health program.
Experience: No prior experience is necessary.
Licensure/Certification: Candidates must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and hold certification in Radiography from the relevant state authority. A current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card is also required.
Skills and KnowledgeThe ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proven capability to perform and instruct radiologic examinations to achieve high-quality diagnostic images.
- Familiarity with OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations.
- Competence in the safe operation of radiologic equipment.
This position requires:
- Frequent standing and walking.
- Regular lifting and moving of patients, with the ability to handle weights up to 50 lbs.
- Consistent use of hand dexterity and reaching with arms.
- Exposure to various healthcare-related conditions, including potential risks associated with radiation and infectious materials.
Work hours may include weekends and on-call responsibilities as needed. The work environment may be subject to stress and deadlines.
