Job Overview

Position Summary

Ensure precise inventory management, reduce stock discrepancies, and protect company resources by performing regular inventory assessments, enforcing loss prevention strategies, and reconciling through necessary adjustments. Deliver comprehensive insights into the causes of inventory discrepancies and provide actionable recommendations to avert future variances. Serve as a key point of communication regarding inventory challenges and trends among the warehouse, Operations Manager, and Purchasing team.


Key Responsibilities: The following duties are essential functions of this role, and additional tasks may be assigned as needed to meet operational demands.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM
Compensation: $20 - $22.50 per hour based on experience


  • Conduct and coordinate daily cycle counts as outlined by the ERP system.
  • Perform audits and investigate known loss sources.
  • Monitor inventory levels to detect theft or shortages.
  • Identify, propose, and implement strategies to reduce inventory loss.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies according to established policies and procedures.
  • Provide daily variance justification reports to management, detailing dollar amounts prior to posting cycle counts.
  • Communicate and develop process improvements as necessary; conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and suggest enhancements to eliminate future issues.
  • Collaborate with key personnel to effectively implement operational improvements aimed at optimizing overall location and item-level accuracy while maintaining high productivity levels.
  • Research, recommend, and implement additional security measures.
  • Conduct periodic evaluations of video surveillance systems.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to deter theft at points of sale or inventory storage areas.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Ideal Candidate Profile

- Previous experience in inventory management within a distribution environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic mathematical proficiency.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to operate equipment such as Forklifts and Order Pickers (Training Provided).


Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Positions in this role may require lifting up to 15 lbs and standing or walking for extended periods. Operation of machinery may also be necessary.
