Job Overview

Position Summary

Ensure precise inventory management, reduce stock discrepancies, and protect company resources by performing regular inventory assessments, enforcing loss prevention strategies, and reconciling through necessary adjustments. Deliver comprehensive insights into the causes of inventory discrepancies and provide actionable recommendations to avert future variances. Serve as a vital link for communication regarding inventory challenges and trends among the warehouse, Operations Manager, and Purchasing team.


Key Responsibilities: The following duties are essential and may include additional tasks as required to support business operations.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Compensation: $20/hour

  • Execute and oversee daily cycle counts as dictated by the ERP system.
  • Conduct audits and investigate known loss sources.
  • Monitor stock levels to detect theft or shortages.
  • Identify, propose, and implement strategies to mitigate inventory loss.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Prepare daily variance justification reports for management with specified dollar amounts prior to cycle count postings.
  • Facilitate communication and process improvements as necessary; perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and suggest enhancements to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with key personnel to effectively implement operational improvements aimed at optimizing overall location and item-level accuracy while maintaining high productivity standards.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile

- Previous experience in inventory management within a distribution environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic mathematical proficiency.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to operate equipment such as Forklifts and Order Pickers (Training Provided).


Physical Requirements and Work Environment: The conditions described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to fulfill essential job functions.
Positions in this role may require lifting up to 15 lbs and standing or walking for extended periods. Operation of machinery may be necessary.
