Position Overview

Ensure precise inventory management, reduce stock discrepancies, and protect company resources by performing regular inventory audits, enforcing loss prevention strategies, and reconciling records through necessary adjustments. Deliver a comprehensive analysis of inventory discrepancies and provide actionable recommendations to avert future variances. Serve as a key point of communication regarding inventory matters and trends among the warehouse, Operations Manager, and Purchasing team.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following tasks. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.
Schedule: Monday Through Friday 7am - 3:30 pm
Pay Rate: $20/hr.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Coordinate and execute daily cycle counts as outlined by the ERP system.
  • Conduct audits and investigate known loss sources.
  • Monitor inventory levels to detect theft or shortages.
  • Identify, propose, and implement strategies to minimize inventory loss.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies according to established policies and procedures.
  • Provide a daily variance justification report to management with specified dollar amounts prior to posting cycle counts.
  • Communicate and develop process improvements as necessary; perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and suggest enhancements to prevent future issues.
  • Collaborate with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements aimed at optimizing overall accuracy and maintaining high productivity levels.
  • Research, recommend, and implement additional security measures.
  • Conduct periodic evaluations of video surveillance systems.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to deter theft in storage and sales areas.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.
The ideal candidate will possess

- Previous experience in inventory management within a distribution environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic mathematical proficiency.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to operate equipment such as Forklifts and Order Pickers (Training Provided).
