Position Summary

Ensure the precision of inventory records, reduce inventory shrinkage, and protect company resources by performing regular inventory assessments, enforcing loss prevention strategies, and reconciling discrepancies through adjustments. Deliver a comprehensive analysis of inventory variances and provide necessary corrective measures to avert future discrepancies. Serve as a key information resource regarding inventory challenges and trends among the warehouse, Operations Manager, and Purchasing team.


Key Responsibilities: The following duties are essential functions of this role, and additional tasks may be assigned to fulfill business requirements.


Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM
Compensation: $20/hour


  • Facilitate and execute daily cycle counts as outlined by the ERP system.
  • Conduct audits and investigate known loss sources.
  • Monitor inventory levels to detect theft or shortages.
  • Identify, propose, and implement systems to mitigate inventory loss.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Provide a daily variance justification report to management, detailing discrepancies with monetary values prior to posting cycle counts.
  • Communicate and develop process improvements as necessary; perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and suggest enhancements to eliminate future variances.
  • Collaborate with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures, aiming to proactively enhance overall location and item-level accuracy while maintaining high productivity levels.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

The ideal candidate will possess:

- Previous experience in inventory management within a distribution environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic mathematical proficiency.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Capability to operate equipment such as Forklifts and Order Pickers (Training Provided).

Positions in this classification may require lifting up to 15 lbs and standing or walking for extended periods. Operation of machinery may be necessary.
