Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the underwriting process in alignment with carrier guidelines and organizational policies
  • Providing necessary documentation to brokerage markets for accounts without binding authority
  • Making informed underwriting decisions and resolving intricate coverage challenges
  • Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with insurance carriers
  • Generating new business opportunities while managing existing client accounts
  • Negotiating terms with markets and communicating decisions to producers in a timely manner
  • Evaluating and either approving or denying endorsements based on established guidelines
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedural standards
  • Meeting documentation standards and underwriting authority requirements
  • Maintaining all relevant licenses

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent insurance certification
  • A minimum of three years' experience in underwriting or brokering
  • Licensure in pertinent insurance areas
  • Expertise in underwriting and brokerage methodologies
  • Comprehension of client requirements and risk assessments
  • Awareness of trends within the insurance sector
  • Exceptional customer service and collaborative skills
  • Current knowledge of the insurance landscape
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

  • Degree in business or a related discipline
