Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Risk Management Analyst to join our team at the City of Houston, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice on risk management and internal controls to ensure the optimal design and alignment of all risk management functions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, internal controls, and compliance, with experience in developing and implementing risk management strategies and programs. They will also have excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and other stakeholders.

The Enterprise Risk Management Analyst will be responsible for conducting enterprise risk assessments, developing risk management strategies and objectives, and implementing risk management programs. They will also be responsible for leading corporate resiliency and preparedness initiatives, including business continuity and disaster readiness programs.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field, and at least 3 years of professional experience in risk management, internal controls, or a related field. They will also have certifications such as CIA, CCSA, CPA, or CRMA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct enterprise risk assessments and develop risk management strategies and objectives
  • Implement risk management programs and lead corporate resiliency and preparedness initiatives
  • Develop and maintain risk management policies and procedures
  • Provide expert advice on risk management and internal controls to senior management and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective risk management and internal controls

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in risk management, internal controls, or a related field
  • Certifications such as CIA, CCSA, CPA, or CRMA
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with senior management and other stakeholders
