Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the operations of the laboratory services, focusing on strategic planning, customer/patient/staff satisfaction, financial management, and human resource oversight.
  • Establish and assess annual objectives and goals; ensure timely execution and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Partner with clinical leadership to formulate and execute the laboratory's strategic initiatives.
  • Promote growth strategies, cultivate a cohesive culture, and enhance collaboration within the team.
  • Commit to continuous quality enhancement, set operational benchmarks, and lead performance improvement projects.
  • Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders and ensure adherence to regulatory and technical standards.
  • Oversee financial planning, billing operations, and long-term strategy for laboratory services.
  • Manage human resources, focusing on staff engagement, recruitment, retention, and conflict resolution.
  • Supervise information management practices, collaborate on IT initiatives, manage contracts, and conduct annual evaluations.
  • Deliver age-appropriate patient care while upholding leadership standards and accountability.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, Daytime hours

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory/medical technology science with a minimum of one year of experience in high complexity testing.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist by ASCP or AMT.
  • A minimum of four years of progressive experience in clinical laboratory science is required.
  • Strong understanding of clinical laboratory practices, relevant laws, regulations, guidelines, and professional standards.
