We are on the lookout for a skilled professional to step into the role of Laboratory Manager:
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operations of the testing laboratory and manage all laboratory personnel.
- Guarantee the precision and promptness of testing outcomes.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing testing procedures and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Provide support across different departments and manage resources efficiently.
- Guide and mentor team members for their personal and professional growth.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Administer QA/QC programs and maintain accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with peers to improve laboratory management systems.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Food Science (Master's degree is a plus).
- At least 10 years of relevant laboratory experience with a minimum of 7 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in food testing and microbiological techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
- Familiarity with applicable technologies and software applications.
Physical Demands:
- Capability to operate computer systems and handle chemicals safely.
- Potential exposure to hazardous materials and pathogens.
- Ability to work in diverse environmental conditions.
- Capacity to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Color vision and depth perception are essential.
