Job Summary

This position will be primarily in-office and located in Warner Robins, GA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains security policies, controls, and compliance with NCUA and FFIEC guidance.
  • Update and maintain the vulnerability management tools.
  • Continually monitor the security practices within the Credit Union. Investigate security needs, and recommends; plans, implements, tests, and monitors information security improvements.
  • Manages Credit Union security solutions

Web Monitoring, Log Correlation, Virus Protections, Incident response and IPS.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Information Technology primary contact for internal and external penetration tests. Provides guidance and performs corrective action on all items.
  • Represents Information Technology in annual outside penetration tests and makes recommendations in regards to findings.
  • Monitors security threads for any potential risks.
  • Responsible for updating all NCUA and DBF audit documents
ACET
  • Develops and implements security standards, procedures and guidelines for multiple platform system environments.
  • Ensures network security access and protects against unauthorized access, modifications, or destruction.
  • Provide instruction and training for users on information security procedures and their application.
  • Maintains currency of expertise in security-related technologies, trends, issues, and solutions.
  • Works with internal and external auditors.
  • Review, oversee and/or perform all tasks necessary to assure network projects are developed, tested, assured of quality, and implemented in accordance with generally accepted best practices.
  • Document all security systems and verify for best practices.
  • Cross training within Information Technology on security solutions and products.
  • Maintain level of technical proficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What You Need To Succeed:

  • Job Education and Experience Required:
    • BS/BA college degree in an information technology discipline.
    • 3 years progressive experience in security field
  • Preferred Education, Certifications & Experience (addition to above):
    • CompTIA Security+
    • MS/MA college degree in a Computer Science related discipline.
  • Knowledge and Job Performance Requirements:
    • Highly developed critical thinking capability
    • Understanding of vulnerability management systems
    • Highly developed understanding of telecommunications and networks
    • Provide guidance on industry security best practices
    • Ability to develop and manage complex project plans
    • Experience with Intrusion detection software & log correlation
    • Proven effective communications and interpersonal skills
    • Understanding Microsoft products:
      • Server, Exchange, Active Directory, Windows Desktop and Server OS
