Job Title: Information Systems Security Officer

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team. As an ISSO, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in meeting their duties and responsibilities.
  • Prepare, review, and update authorization packages to ensure compliance with security regulations.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of information systems to ensure compliance with security authorization packages.
  • Coordinate changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware of a system with the ISSM and AO/DAO prior to the change.
  • Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly restored and functioning correctly.
  • Ensure all IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.
  • Attend required technical and security training relative to assigned duties.
  • Execute the cyber security portion of the self-inspection, including providing security coordination and review of all system assessment plans.
  • Identify cyber security vulnerabilities and assist with the implementation of countermeasures.
  • Prepare reports on the status of security safeguards applied to computer systems.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of related experience in information security or a related field.
  • SAP experience required.
  • Prior performance in roles such as System, Network Administrator, or ISSO.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience (4 years).
  • IAT Level II or IAM Level II (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.) certification.
  • TS/SCI clearance required, with the ability to attain TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
