Location

This position is based in the Baytown, TX area, with potential travel requirements of up to 15%. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

Position Overview

The Project Manager will leverage their mechanical design and operational expertise to deliver exceptional results for our clients. The focus will be on process safety management within mechanical design, ensuring high-quality outputs and efficient execution of tasks. The candidate will be responsible for defining and proposing solutions for implementation, as well as recommending actions or mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct staff-level assignments within an engineering team setting
  • Ensure quality control for Detailed Engineering Design
  • Supervise the development of Isometrics along with the bill of materials
  • Draft Project Execution Plans
  • Create Detailed Schedules with Resource Allocation and Construction Plans
  • Assist with Materials Management and Vendor Selection
  • Develop Cost Estimates
  • Initiate and oversee project Management of Change (MOCs) and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs)
  • Provide support for Construction Management
  • Interpret data from piping and instrument diagrams, process flow diagrams, plot plans, and mechanical design information
  • Adhere to all safety procedures set forth by Trinity Consultants and our clients

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (other engineering disciplines may be considered)
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a petrochemical plant or refinery setting is preferred
  • At least two years of experience in mechanical design engineering is preferred
  • Two or more years of project management experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with regulatory codes (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and industry standards (API, NFPA, ASME, etc.) is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
  • The unrestricted right to work in the United States
