Lead Mechanical Integrity Specialist
Location: Baytown, TX (On-Site)
Contract role on C2C

Role Overview
This position focuses on mechanical integrity for fixed assets within a petrochemical environment. The selected candidate will provide essential technical support, emphasizing the management of a risk-based inspection program, troubleshooting, asset enhancement, and technology selection.
Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the unit's risk-based inspection initiatives.
  • Make informed recommendations for equipment selection.
  • Plan inspections ensuring adequate coverage and appropriate NDE methodologies.
  • Analyze inspection findings and propose subsequent actions.
  • Conduct mechanical evaluations regarding thickness and fitness for service assessments.
  • Address operational events at the facility.
  • Draft specifications for repairs and replacements.
  • Evaluate the performance of fixed equipment on-site.
  • Promote asset improvements focusing on Safety, Reliability, Environmental Performance, and Equipment Capability and Efficiency within a collaborative team environment.
  • Assist with capital projects and minor modifications, providing design consultation, technical quality assurance, and start-up support.
  • Engage daily with teams from Inspection, Maintenance, Process, and Operations.
Qualifications
  • Mandatory: B.S. (or higher) Degree in Mechanical, Materials, Corrosion Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Mechanical Integrity within a Petrochemical setting.
