Key ResponsibilitiesThe Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and collecting outstanding receivables from clients.
Essential Skills and Qualifications- Conduct AR collection calls as necessary or directed.
- Provide account statements and invoice copies upon request.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries from the A/R mailbox.
- Verify customer references and submit them to the AR Manager for approval.
- Conduct research and reconciliations on customer accounts.
- Document customer interactions in the system.
- Prepare and submit requests for refunds.
- Process credit applications and follow up on customer references.
- Review and authorize credit overrides as instructed.
- Assist at the front desk as needed.
- Perform backup duties including resolving credit card disputes, processing receipts, daily deposits, bank transfers, and journal entries.
- Enforce established credit policies and procedures as directed by management.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
- Maintain customer accounts and settings within the accounting system.
- At least 3 years of experience in cash applications and accounts receivable.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in tasks.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficient in computer applications, including MS Excel and Word.
