The Receptionist is the first and last point of contact for clients, creating a lasting impression of our clinic. This role requires exceptional client service and communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to handle payment and financial issues.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and uphold the Core Values and Mission Statement of Millbrook Animal Care Clinic.
- Greet clients and pets with a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
- Answer phones promptly and professionally, providing knowledgeable advice on animal care and veterinary services.
- Screen and route calls to appropriate staff, taking and delivering messages promptly.
- Schedule appointments and surgeries according to hospital guidelines.
- Enter accurate charges, explain invoices, and collect payment.
- Verify client eligibility and check medical records for accuracy.
- Fill prescriptions and provide routine administration instructions.
- Advise clients on flea/tick preventative, heartworm preventatives, and other retail items.
- Demonstrated commitment to Millbrook Animal Care Clinic's core values.
- Computer knowledge required, including keyboarding and use of communication tools.
- Working knowledge of veterinary terminology.
- Excellent spelling and grammar.
- Ability to handle varied and sometimes difficult conditions.
- Ability to display tact and respect with clients and team members.
- Ability to conduct oneself in a confident, calm, and professional manner.
