About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Workforce Planning Director to join our team at Holland America Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic workforce planning initiatives to optimize crew scheduling and deployment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Workforce Planning: Develop and implement strategic workforce planning initiatives to optimize crew scheduling and deployment, ensuring full manning for the entire fleet while considering operational aspects, compliance, and personal requirements.
  • Forecasting and Demand Planning: Establish and develop a forecasting model to provide long-range forecasts of all crew member needs, define onboard career paths and needs, and provide input into promotion processes and assignments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular reviews of workforce planning processes, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and develop strategies for continuous improvement on the workforce planning process.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with senior leadership to understand long-term business goals and translate them into actionable workforce plans, communicate workforce plans and strategies to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all relevant policies, labor laws, regulations, and industry standards related to workforce management.
  • Leadership: Promote a high-performance culture by cultivating and motivating direct and indirect reports through coaching, mentoring, and regular meaningful feedback.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in airline operations, management, finance, or strategic experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, with at least 2 years of direct people leadership experience
  • Aviation operations experience preferred
