Job Title: On-Call Youth Development Professional

Division: Operations

Location: Varies

Status: On-call

Approximate Hours: School Year: (Primarily After School; 2:00pm-6:30pm M-Fri)

Base Pay: $20.00 / Hour

Job Description

Our Club staff members are dedicated professionals who provide a safe and supportive environment for youth to grow and develop. As an On-Call Youth Development Professional, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality programs and services that promote positive youth development, empowerment, and outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and stimulate program participation among youth.
  • Provide guidance and role modeling to members, focusing on maintaining a safe and positive atmosphere.
  • Exhibit a warm and professional attitude toward youth, using a positive approach in dealing with individuals and groups.
  • Effectively plan and lead programs, services, and activities for members.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and children of all ages, being an active and positive team member.
  • Complete program planners in a timely manner, including new and innovative program ideas.

Requirements:

  • Desire and ability to work with children.
  • Ability to accept supervision and guidance.
  • Good character, integrity, and adaptability.
  • Enthusiasm, good judgment, patience, and self-control.
  • Must participate in required trainings by the Club, County, State, and/or funders.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test, including screening for marijuana, criminal and driving records investigations, and reference checks.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to be insured under the company's insurance policy.
  • Good verbal and communication skills.
  • Be adaptable and flexible to changes.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25 lbs.
  • Outdoor work and moderate physically demanding activities may be required on occasion.
  • Be able to maintain a high level of energy.
  • Strong organization and interpersonal skills.
