Job DescriptionOur Club staff members are dedicated professionals who provide a safe and supportive environment for youth to grow and develop. As an On-Call Youth Development Professional, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality programs and services that promote positive youth development, empowerment, and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and stimulate program participation among youth.
- Provide guidance and role modeling to members, focusing on maintaining a safe and positive atmosphere.
- Exhibit a warm and professional attitude toward youth, using a positive approach in dealing with individuals and groups.
- Effectively plan and lead programs, services, and activities for members.
- Communicate effectively with staff and children of all ages, being an active and positive team member.
- Complete program planners in a timely manner, including new and innovative program ideas.
Requirements:
- Desire and ability to work with children.
- Ability to accept supervision and guidance.
- Good character, integrity, and adaptability.
- Enthusiasm, good judgment, patience, and self-control.
- Must participate in required trainings by the Club, County, State, and/or funders.
- Must be able to pass a drug test, including screening for marijuana, criminal and driving records investigations, and reference checks.
- A valid driver's license and ability to be insured under the company's insurance policy.
- Good verbal and communication skills.
- Be adaptable and flexible to changes.
- The ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25 lbs.
- Outdoor work and moderate physically demanding activities may be required on occasion.
- Be able to maintain a high level of energy.
- Strong organization and interpersonal skills.
