We are seeking a highly skilled Epidemiology Investigator 2 to join our team at the Ohio Department of Public Safety – Emergency Medical Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in investigating, collecting, and analyzing data related to emergency medical services, trauma care, and the statewide trauma system.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and analyze data to identify trends and patterns related to emergency medical services and trauma care.
- Develop and implement statistical analysis and methods to improve data quality and accuracy.
- Extract and analyze data from various sources, including the EMS Incident Reporting System and the Ohio Trauma Registry.
- Provide research and support to the Quality Assurance program and administrator to develop and implement quality initiatives.
- Develop and implement data security and anonymization techniques to ensure the confidentiality of healthcare data.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree in public health or a related field.
- Experience working with statistical computer software packages, such as STATA, SAS, and SPSS.
- Knowledge of epidemiology and research methods.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
