We are seeking a highly skilled Absence Management Assistant to join our team at Lifeworks Services. As a key member of our absence management program, you will work closely with employers to develop strategies for managing employee absences and improve overall business outcomes.

About the Role

The Disability Assistant is responsible for communicating with claimants and clients regarding the initiation and status of claims, as well as processing incoming documents and updating claim notes accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls and assist customers with leave of absence, short-term disability, or incidental absence through the Automated Reporting system
  • Process incoming documents and analyze FMLA and STD documents for completeness
  • Inform claimants of required documentation and claims status via phone, email, or mail
  • Update claim notes with relevant information
Qualifications:
  • 2 years of customer service experience in a call center setting
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in computer software and able to work primarily online
