Job Title: Roadway Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Roadway Engineer to join our team at Coastal Ecology Group, Llc. As a Roadway Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing transportation systems that connect communities and promote economic growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct work on transportation projects, including traffic operations and safety, roadway design, bridge design, transportation planning, and environmental assessments.
  • Manage the preparation of engineering reports, plans, and specifications for major and minor projects.
  • Supervise and observe the design and ongoing progress of a project, including coordination with City, State, and County officials and other outside agencies.
  • Supervise the work of less experienced engineers and/or technical support personnel assigned to the project.
  • Coordinate projects with clients, contractors, outside consultants, and firm staff.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
  • 5-10 years of experience in the transportation industry, preferably in Tennessee.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is required.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of software systems: HCS, SYNCHRO, SIDRA, CORSIM, VISSIM, CUBE, TransCAD, Microstation, Microsoft Office.
