Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Connexion Systems & Engineering, Inc. This is a challenging opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead our quality management efforts and drive continuous improvement across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Management System (QMS) Maintenance: Ensure the QMS is up-to-date, compliant with industry standards, and effectively implemented across the organization.
  • Quality Representative: Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Production Meetings: Participate in daily production meetings to ensure quality objectives are aligned with business goals and production requirements.
  • Departmental Meetings: Conduct regular meetings with the Quality Department to discuss progress, address concerns, and set priorities.
  • Staffing and Overtime Management: Evaluate and determine appropriate staffing levels for the Quality Department, manage departmental overtime, and ensure compliance with business needs and production requirements.
  • Performance Appraisals: Prepare and conduct performance appraisals for Quality Department staff, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for Quality Department staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Corrective Action Planning: Identify and address employee performance-related matters, generate corrective action plans, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Compliance and Audits: Ensure the Quality Department is compliant with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies, and conduct internal audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization, applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to enhance processes and improve quality metrics.
  • Customer and Supplier Interface: Interface with customers and suppliers to ensure quality objectives are met, and resolve any quality-related issues that may arise.
  • Program Management: Manage CAPA, Continuous Improvement, Internal and External Audit, and MRB programs to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Management Reviews: Conduct Management Reviews in accordance with industry standards and company policies, ensuring quality objectives are met and areas for improvement are identified.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical) or a related field.
  • Experience: 7-10 years of quality management or engineering experience, preferably in the automotive industry. Experience with stamping, plating, molding, or skiving manufacturing operations is preferred.
  • Certifications: Prefer ASQ certifications (CQM, CQE, CQA) and Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, effective organization, prioritization, time management, project management, motivation, and teambuilding skills. Ability to read advanced blueprints and schematics, and advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
