Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Engineer will focus on the design, execution, and upkeep of both in-process and final testing protocols for current and upcoming products. This role involves creating and sustaining testing apparatus for a diverse array of electronic and pneumatic devices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Define testing criteria and oversee the construction of testing equipment for end-of-line circuit board evaluations.
2. Implement data collection and reporting systems for testing equipment.
3. Provide support for existing, well-documented testing systems.
4. Innovate and construct new hardware while developing software for the end-of-line testing of electromechanical and pneumatic products.
5. Coordinate with external vendors for the design and assembly of testing equipment.
6. Collaborate with product design engineers to establish testing specifications that align with product needs.
7. Work alongside operations and manufacturing teams to execute end-of-line testing using both custom and standard testing equipment.
8. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• At least two years of experience in a testing environment related to manufacturing or product development.
Preferred Skills
• Proficiency in product testing within a Windows environment utilizing National Instruments and LabView.
• Experience with pneumatic control systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with industrial networking and data acquisition is advantageous.
Work Environment
To succeed in this role, candidates must effectively perform all essential duties. The requirements outlined are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the position. The role may involve lifting or moving items weighing up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
