About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at H-E-B Wellness Primary Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide warm and professional greetings to patients, handle guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality, and respond to all requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Patient Care: Perform patient intake interviews, take medical histories, check and record vital signs, and assist physicians with exams and other medical procedures.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with check-in process, process transactions, and maintain clinic calendar and scheduling.
  • Communication: Develop an understanding of H-E-B-sponsored health insurance, eligibility files, and electronic health record system.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, and graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
  • Certifications: Medical Assistant certification (CMA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the America Heart Association.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in office, clerical, or medical work, preferably as a medical assistant, admissions rep, or clinic support.
  • Skills: Knowledge of medical terminology, proficiency in MS Office, and advanced interpersonal, customer service, and issue-resolution skills.
