Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with patient examinations and treatments, ensuring a safe and efficient experience for patients.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Accompany patients from the waiting area to the examination room, preparing them for their appointment.
  • Conduct patient interviews to obtain medical information, documenting it in their medical history.
  • Take and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Perform routine patient tests, such as electrocardiograms and collecting specimen samples.
  • Administer medications as instructed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosing and timing.
  • Change dressings and remove sutures and staples, promoting wound healing and patient comfort.
  • Undertake administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls and scheduling appointments, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a medical setting.
  • Basic Life Support Certification within 30 days of joining.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from a recognized organization, such as the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
