About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant II to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient examinations and treatments.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure their cleanliness and organization.
  • Accompany patients from the waiting area to the examination room and prepare them for their examination.
  • Conduct patient interviews to obtain medical information and document it in their medical history.
  • Take and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Carry out routine patient tests, process electrocardiograms, and collect specimen samples.
  • Administer medications as instructed by the physician.
  • Change dressings and remove sutures and staples.
  • Undertake administrative tasks, including answering calls and scheduling appointments.
  • Promote team productivity through huddles and meetings, and assist in the mentoring and training of staff members.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
  • Basic Life Support Certification within 30 days of joining.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from a recognized organization.
