General Summary: This senior-level engineering position necessitates over 15 years of experience in Radio Frequency (RF) Engineering, establishing the individual as a subject-matter expert who supports all RF Engineering initiatives at NuWaves. Responsibilities include proposal and technical writing, circuit and system-level design, and providing leadership. The Senior RF Design Engineer collaborates closely with clients and prospective clients on business development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make informed decisions regarding system strategies and trade-offs.
- Enhance daily processes to ensure the Engineering Technical Team meets client specifications.
- Guide the RF Engineering Technical Teams to foster a culture aligned with NuWaves' values.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with Program Managers and the Engineering Technical Team.
- Lead the Bid and Proposal (B&P) process by delivering engineering cost estimates, technical writing that demonstrates expertise, technical evaluations, engineering methodologies, and comprehensive solutions.
- Compose technical documents, white papers, status reports, and application notes that support NuWaves' strategic and tactical objectives.
- Accountable to Program Managers for meeting deadlines and deliverables.
- Mentor junior RF engineers.
- Direct Engineering Technicians to efficiently and effectively complete project tasks.
- Collaborate with CAD engineers to accurately capture design details.
- Draft test plans, reports, and system requirements.
- Lead engineering teams and provide expertise in developing, implementing, and managing overall engineering methodologies. Encourage innovative approaches, processes, and methods.
- Engage with potential new business clients to assess project feasibility, identify their engineering needs, and demonstrate technical proficiency.
- Enhance the overall productivity of the Engineering domain, evidenced by reduced costs and improved quality solutions delivered on time. Challenge the organization to pursue higher performance standards.
- Develop client relationships in pursuit of high-value RF engineering development projects.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.

Typical Education and Experience: Candidates are expected to possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field along with over 15 years of experience in RF module and/or RF Systems engineering.
