Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at Micro Tech Staffing - Stoughton. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects to meet higher-level schedules and long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Independently analyze complex problems, coordinating cross-functional development and supplier efforts to ensure timely project completion.
  • Manufacturing Process Development: Create, document, and implement procedures for assembling, processing, testing, and manufacturing products, ensuring compliance with ISO, FDA, and corporate guidelines.
  • Process Improvement: Design, implement, monitor, and maintain efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes, collaborating with design engineers to ensure the production of high-quality products.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with management and staff to optimize manufacturing capabilities and production schedules, ensuring effective communication and coordination across teams.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform evaluation testing, verification, and validation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Cost Estimation and Management: Estimate production times, staffing needs, and costs to inform management decisions and optimize resource allocation.
  • Equipment Management: Oversee equipment purchase, installation, and perform IQ/OQ/PQ functions to ensure seamless integration into production processes.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Prepare essential documentation for product manufacturing, including assembly documentation and process engineering changes.
  • Project Management: Coordinate and manage projects, focusing on cost reduction strategies and process improvements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and design standards by working with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
  • Design for Manufacturability: Participate in design for manufacturability, supporting the transition of new products to production.
  • Continuous Improvement: Generate and update assembly documentation, process engineering changes, and control manufacturing costs through innovative manufacturing and assembly techniques.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the medical device or other highly regulated industries.
  • Skills: Strong background in interpreting engineering drawings/specifications and manufacturing process planning/evaluation, proficiency in Six Sigma methodologies, and expertise in mechanical design using SolidWorks.
  • Personal Qualities: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in technical writing and procedure development, demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and self-motivation with a proactive approach to work.
